Effective ABA is very personalized, with no two individuals the same. You and your BCBA will work together to determine where you and your child need support and education.
Telehealth: Virtual sessions are an option if caregivers are needing to talk through challenges or discuss concerns without the child present. This is also an option for families who live too far away for in person services.
In the home: Caregiver and family sessions that occur in your home allow us to show you how to use ABA by modeling it with your child present. You can then practice the skills you are learning, receive in the moment feedback, and ask questions.
In the community: Many families struggle with challenges out and about, such as at the store, park, or restaurants. When appropriate, sessions can take place in these settings to help the child and family practice ABA techniques that help teach safety and other skills relevant to the setting. If you find yourself actively avoiding taking your child to places such as these, this could be very beneficial for you!
